Rangers' win cuts Celtic's lead

Rangers have cut Celtic's lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League to two points after beating Falkirk 3-1 at the Ibrox stadium.

Steve Lovell put the Bairns in front after 12 minutes, but Rangers levelled with a Kris Boyd penalty shortly before half-time.

Falkirk's Patrick Cregg and Rangers' Sasa Papac were both sent off before Boyd scored again.

Steve Davis sealed Rangers' victory in injury time with a well-taken strike.

Meanwhile, goals from Rob Jones and Derek Riordan handed Hibernian a 2-0 win over St Mirren.

Kilmarnock 0-2 Hearts
Rangers 3-1 Falkirk

Captain Rob Jones put them ahead after 14 minutes, and Derek Riordan sealed the victory late on.

Elsewhere, a Simon Mensing penalty saw Hamilton defeat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0.

And Bruno Aguiar and Christos Karipidis secured a 2-0 win for Hearts over Kilmarnock.
