X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has been booted off the number one spot by American singer Lady GaGa.
The 22-year-old New Yorker hit the top with her first single, Just Dance.
And James Morrison and Nelly Furtado's Broken Strings climbed three places to number two.
Alexandra and her version of Hallelujah is at number three and is the fastest-selling single ever by a female artist.
Lady GaGa, who's tipped to be big in 2009, said: "It's been a long running dream to have a big hit in the UK."
Her album The Fame is released next week.
Kings of Leon take album top spot
The winner of X Factor 2006, Leona Lewis, dropped from two to four with her cover of Snow Patrol's Run, while Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon climbed a single place to number five.
In the album charts, Kings of Leon's Only By The Night climbed one spot to number one, ending Take That's five week reign at the top with The Circus.
