The track has also become the biggest-selling single for a UK female solo artist in chart history, chart officials have confirmed
Leona Lewis's debut single, A Moment Like This, sold about 850,000 copies.
Alexandra, 20, is one of only 10 artists who have sold over a million copies this decade.
She is still about 100,000 sales short of Kylie Minogue's 2001 hit Can't Get You Out of My Head.
