Check out this footage of one of the world's strangest mammals - the Hispaniolan Solenodon.
It looks a bit like an overgrown shrew - it's pretty big, has a long, thin snout and can attack passing insects with its poisonous bite.
But researchers say more needs to be done to protect the creatures as they're under threat from deforestation and hunters.
This little critter was filmed during the summer of 2008 in the Dominican Republic - one of only two countries where this nocturnal, insect-eating animal can be found. The other is Haiti.
