Ore chats to Alexandra

After weeks of live shows, Alexandra Burke's been crowned winner of this year's X Factor.

We asked YOU to send in your questions for the UK's newest star.

Newsround's Ore went to meet her to ask her some of the best ones...

What do you hope to achieve next? Alex, 10, Hertfordshire

Alexandra wants a Christmas No 1!

There's so much I'd love to do in life full stop, but I'm hoping to receive a number one for Christmas, that would be the biggest Christmas present ever.

I'm just hoping to make a beautiful album.

This is my chance now, I want to embrace that chance and be creative and just enjoy it all.

I absolutely cannot wait for January to come. New Year, get it over and done with, and then it's work, work, work, work.

What do you want to say to Louis now, for not taking you into his top three, three years ago? Jessica, 10, Nottingham

Alexandra: I want to say thank you. I always say thank you to him, because he made the right decision for my life.

Eoghan amazes me because he's 16 and he is just phenomenal, got to the finals, he's ready.

But me at 16, I wasn't ready, and Louis could see that, and you know what I thank him because he could have put me through and thrown me out into the world, but he saw, and he cared.

He said, this girl's not ready, because he knows what this industry is about, and if you're in this industry you'll know that it's a dog-eat-dog world, and it's just all about being a strong-minded person, and I wasn't at the time, so I thank him.

Is it true that your mum was the lead singer of Soul II Soul? Bethany, 10, Basingstoke

Alexandra: Yes it is true.

My mum was their last leading lady. She was with them for four years.

It's just so cool to say that because she's taught me so much, and I'm glad she was a singer, because I wouldn't know what I knew today with the music industry and things like that.

She's taught me a lot.

If you were to do another duet, who would you want to do it with? Siobhan, 11, Croydon

Alexandra: I would love to do a duet with Leona.

I met her, she knew my name. She went, "Hi, Alex".

That was enough. I went up to my room, and practised, because I was like, if Leona knows my name, Oh my gosh.

Because we've been compared so many times, I'd love to show the world that we are different.

She has got a great spirit about her.

And Girls Aloud as well.
