It was a mixed bag of results for the Home Nations in the final round of the Rugby Union Autumn Test matches.
England had a disaster against South Africa, suffering a record 42-6 home defeat to the Springboks at Twickenham.
They could only manage six points, through two Danny Cipriani penalties, as the Springboks scored five tries.
But it was good news for Scotland, who thrashed Canada 41-0 in Aberdeen. And Ireland won a hard fought 17-3 victory over Argentina at Croke Park.
Three Ronan O'Gara penalties and a Tommy Bowe try helped Ireland win the match and the result means they will now be seeded eighth in the 2011 World Cup.
Back in Aberdeen, Scotland scored six tries and Nikki Walker touched down two scores to help them to their convincing victory.
