Chelsea have returned to the top of the Premier League after beating West Brom 3-0.

Earlier, the Blues had lost their lead after Liverpool's 2-0 win over Bolton had taken them three points clear.

But goals from Chelsea's Jose Bosingwa and two from Nicolas Anelka at the Hawthorns, The Baggies' home ground, ended the Reds' time at the top.

Elsewhere, Manchester United thrashed Stoke 5-0, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring twice at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo put United ahead early on, scoring his 100th goal for the club.

Bolton 0-2 Liverpool
Fulham 2-1 Tottenham
Man Utd 5-0 Stoke
Newcastle 2-2 Wigan
West Brom 0-3 Chelsea
West Ham 0-0 Portsmouth
Michael Carrick fired in the second, with Dimitar Berbatov extending the lead, before 17-year-old Danny Welbeck marked his Premier League debut with a stunning strike.

Ronaldo sealed United's amazing win with his second goal, another expertly taken free-kick.

But there was bad news for Tottehnam, who lost 2-1 at Fulham.

The defeat was the first time Spurs have lost under new boss Harry Redknapp, and has sent them back to the relegation zone.

And there was misery for Arsenal fans too, after the Gunners lost to Aston Villa 2-0.
