Celtic win extends their SPL lead

Celtic midfielder Shunzuke Nakamura celebrates scoring the third goal

Celtic are four points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premier League after beating Kilmarnock 3-0.

Two goals from Cillian Sheridan and one from Shunsuke Nakamura delighted home fans, while Rangers could only manage a goal-less draw away to Motherwell.

They had plenty of chances in the first half, but Motherwell goalie Graeme Smith made some great saves to keep the score at 0-0.

Elsewhere, Dundee United and Hearts both won to net three points each.

Dundee's 2-0 win over Hibernian puts them third, while Hearts are fourth after beating Hamilton 1-0.

Further down the table, Inverness and Falkirk are still battling for position after gaining a point each from their 1-1 draw.
