David Beckham IS making a move to Italy in January, when he joins AC MIlan on loan from the LA Galaxy.
The season has finished in the American league the Galaxy play in, and Beckham wants to keep fit until the US season starts again next year.
Beckham hopes that by staying fit he'll be able to keep playing for England, as he tries to add to his 108 caps.
Milan bosses say Beckham will be join the club on 7 January, and will play for them for a couple of months.
Manchester United - 1991-2003
Preston North End (loan) - 1995
Real Madrid - 2003-2007
LA Galaxy - 2007 onwards
AC Milan (loan) - 2008?
It's thought he intends to be back playing for the Galaxy when the club's season starts in April 2009.
A loan move means Beckham is still a Galaxy player, but Milan are borrowing.
England's next World Cup 2010 qualifier isn't until April 2009, although they do play some friendly matches before then.
What squad number will he wear?
We'll have to wait and see what squad number he gets though, as Milan already have a number seven and a number 23; the two squad numbers Beckham is most well-known for wearing in his career so far.
