The Paralympic Games are beginning in Beijing, China with another spectacular opening ceremony. Surprisingly, China does still have a few fireworks left after the Olympics.
No. We have no idea what all these costumes are about either. But how cool do they look?!?! Probably quite warm inside them though.
Don't try this at home! The performers set off sparklers on top of their heads as part of an amazing light and dance show.
And yet another weird and wacky costume. Apparently it's what the mascot of the 2008 Paralympics looks like.
This more normally dressed performer is waving a very important flag. It's the logo of the International Paralympic Committee.
There are 206 members of the Great Britain team at the Games. Danny Crates carried the British flag into the Birds Nest stadium during the opening ceremony.
Patrice Dockery carried the flag into the stadium for the Irish Paralympic team.
Chinese gold medallist Hou Bin was the athlete picked to light the flame to begin the Games. He used a rope to pull himself into position to light the torch.
Hou Bin pulled himself all the way to the torch. You can see him right at the bottom of the pic on the left. He looks tiny next to the torch.
