The Paralympic Games is a massive sporting event for athletes with disabilities. It takes place just after the Olympics, every four years.

The next Paralympics take place in Beijing, China, from 6-17 September 2008.

It uses many of the same venues that were used in the summer Olympics in August.

The athletes compete in 20 different sports and are split into six different categories of disability.

Athletes don't always stay in the same category, or classification, as they can change as they get older.

Around 4,000 athletes are taking part in the Paralympics from around the world.
