Five killed as two planes crash

Five people have died after two small planes crashed in mid-air in the West Midlands of England.

It's thought both planes were heading for Coventry Airport, in Warwickshire, when they collided.

The first plane came down near Brinklow around five miles away from the airport, at about 1140 am on Sunday.

The second light aircraft crashed into woods nearby. Emergency services are at the scene, and investigators are trying to find out what went wrong.

One person in the first plane, and four people in the second aircraft, were killed.

It's important to remember that incidents like this are very rare.
