Rangers' Kyle Lafferty celebrates

Rangers scored a 2-0 win over Hearts at Ibrox, thanks to goals from Kyle Lafferty and Kris Boyd.

Hearts had chances to equalize, but they went down to 10 men when substitute Saulius Mikoliunas was sent off.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Hamilton kept their lead at the top of the table, after their 1-0 win at Inverness.

Striker Richard Offiong scored in the 45th minute for the Accies, who won the first division last season.

Kilmarnock, who are currently third place in the table, had to settle for a 0-0 at St Mirren Park.

And Hibernian got its first points of the season by beating Falkirk.

Hibernian 3-2 Falkirk
Inverness CT 0-1 Hamilton

Rangers 2-0 Hearts
St Mirren 0-0 Kilmarnock

Colin Nish scored after only 24 seconds and headed in a second in the 25th minute, before Michael Higdon scored for Falkirk just before half-time.

Paul Hanlon made it 3-1 in the 47th minute, before Higdon scored again to make it 3-2.
