Scottish refs agree NOT to strike

The new Scottish Premier League season will kick-off as planned on Saturday after referees agreed not to strike.

The Scottish referees had threatened to go on strike because they weren't happy with their new wages offer of 600 per match - an increase of just 25.

But after meetings with the SPL they've now been offered 800 a match until the two sides meet again on 16 September.

That means the first match of the season, between Rangers and Falkirk, can kick-off at 12.30 on Saturday.
