The Dark Knight, the new Batman movie, has taken a record $66.4m (£33.2m) on its opening night in America, Warner Bros has said.
That tops the one day total of $59.8m (£29.9m) set by Spider-Man 3 last year, said the studio.
The Dark Knight has been getting really good reviews by critics, with lots of praise for Heath Ledger
He plays the Joker, and the film was dedicated to him after he died of a drugs overdose earlier this year.
