Massive pay rumours for Who star

David Tennant

Doctor Who star David Tennant has apparently been offered a whopping 1.5 million to stay in his role as the time travelling adventurer.

He's already signed up to appear as the Doctor for four special shows, but beyond that, there are no fixed plans.

Lots of papers and websites have been saying the BBC are so keen on Tennant staying as the Doctor they're ready to shell out loads of cash.

The fifth series of the hit show is planned to arrive in 2010.
