Check this out! Some of the best pictures ever seen of Mars have been beamed back to Earth.
Experts also tested the soil and found that Mars was probably once covered by lakes, rivers and other areas of water so things could have lived there!
The photos show part of a region called the Echus Chasma and show massive valleys and a bit like The Grand Canyon in America.
Some valleys are 10km long and up to 1,000m deep. It looks pretty dry now even though the area is one of the main water sources on Mars.
The photos were taken on 25 September 2005, but have only been made public now. Mars is known as the Red Planet because of its red look.
