With the summer holidays nearly here a row's broken out about how old you should be before your parents can leave you home alone.
Mums and dads are being warned they could get into trouble if they leave you on your own while they go out.
One children's charity says parents are confused about when it's appropriate for you to be able to look after yourselves for a little while.
Part of the problem is that there's no clear law that says when it's OK.
Mum of two Anna Griffin, says she leaves her 15-year-old son on his own at home when she goes to work, but not her 11-year-old daughter.
"I'd like to see a clearer law because at the moment it's just pot luck," she said.
"One person will think their 10-year-old is old enough and another person may think their 15-year-old isn't old enough."
