Dalek danger in Doctor Who finale

The latest series of Doctor Who will come to an end on Saturday evening, with the entire universe in danger.

As the Daleks follow their masterplan, the Doctor is helpless and even the Tardis faces destruction.

The only hope lies with the Doctor's secret army of companions, but as they join forces to battle Davros himself, it looks like one of them will die.

It's hoped Journey's End will pull in more viewers than the series opening episode, which had nine million.

The series has seen the return of old favourites such as Rose Tyler played by Billie Piper.

Fans left the last episode, The Stolen Earth, not knowing what was going to happen to the Doctor, who looked like he was about to regenerate again.

Doctor Who lead writer Russell T Davies has got the cast and crew to vow to secrecy so the end of the story was kept confidential.

Freema Agyeman, who plays the Doctor's former companion Martha Jones, said it was "the secret of all secrets".

Doctor Who is on BBC1 at 6.40pm.
