Mark Hughes has become the new manager of Manchester City after signing a three-year contract.
Hughes replaces Swede Sven-Goran Eriksson who left on Monday after just one season in charge and he has become Mexico's manager.
Hughes, who played for Manchester United, Barcelona and Chelsea as well as winning 72 caps for Wales, will leave his job at Blackburn Rovers.
The 44-year-old has been praised for turning Rovers around.
City owner Thaksin Shinawatra said: "He's an outstanding manager who has achieved many things with Blackburn."
