Teenager dies in flooding tragedy

A teenager has died after getting trapped in a flood in Oxfordshire.

Firefighters tried to rescue Max Sullivan-Webb, 17, and his friend who'd got stuck in a drain when nearly a month's rain fell suddenly on Tuesday.

Fire crews had been up to their necks in water trying to save the boy and called his death "absolutely tragic". His friend was treated in hospital.

Flooding shuts lots of roads and schools. One Berkshire school closed when sewage spilled on the playground.

The worst hit areas were Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire.
