Blowtorch began film studio blaze

Damage at the studios

Fire officials say the blaze at the world-famous Universal Studios in America was accidentally started by workers using a blowtorch.

The roof of the film set they'd been working on caught fire while they were taking a break on Sunday.

The fire tore through the studios, destroying a set used in the movie Back to the Future, and thousands of videos in a film library were also lost.

Several people were hurt and more than 400 firefighters fought to put it out.

Loads of blockbuster films like Pirates of the Caribbean and Spiderman 2 have been made at the site in Los Angeles, California.

But as well as being a working studio, it's also home to a theme park and offers behind-the-scenes tours of the studios.

On Monday, parts of the theme park re-opened, but the smell of smoke still hung in the air, and the hundreds of visitors could see the damage the fire had caused.
