England edge to Barbarians win

England rugby team celebrates their win over the Barbarians

England overcame the Barbarians to win 17-14 in a scrappy match at Twickenham.

A Nick Easter try and a penalty and conversion from Toby Flood gave England a 10-0 lead at the break after a poor first half.

The Barbarians tried to fight back with an interception try by Seilala Mapusua, but it wasn't enough.

Mathew Tait boosted England's lead with a converted try and a late try from Gareth Thomas for the Baa-Baas was too little, too late.

The win was England's final warm-up match before their summer tour in New Zealand.
