Huge night for reality TV winners

Jodie Prenger and George Sampson

A 28-year-old actress and a 14-year-old breakdancer have won two of the UK's biggest TV talent shows.

Millions of people watched Jodie Prenger land the role of Nancy in a new stage production of the musical Oliver! by winning the BBC's I'd Do Anything.

Judges were split about who should win, but the public voted for Jodie to beat 18-year-old Jessie Buckley to the part.

Elsewhere, George Sampson triumphed on Britain's Got Talent for a chance to dance at the Royal Variety Performance.

The 14-year-old, from Warrington, who's also won 100,000, will perform in front of Prince William's dad the Prince of Wales, at the show in December.

George first entered the competition last year, but didn't make it past the opening rounds.

After the result was announced, judge Simon Cowell, said: "You deserve everything as you battled your way to the top."

Meanwhile, Cameron Mackintosh, who will be producing the West End version of Oliver!, said he was "thrilled" for Jodie.

Last week, judges revealed which three boys they'd chosen to share the role of orphan Oliver in the show.
