Zoe Salmon to leave Blue Peter

Zoe Salmon

Hot on the heels of Konnie and Gethin, Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon is quitting the show after three-and-a-half years.

Zoe will be leaving at the end of the current series, but her fans shouldn't worry as she'll still be a familiar sight on our TV screens.

She'll be presenting a CBBC gameshow called Hot Rods, as well as trying out new things.

Zoe said life on Blue Peter had been "one continuous highlight".

She said: "It's been an incredible privilege and honour to have been part of the fantastic team, and I will always treasure my Blue Peter badge and memories."

Blue Peter presenters
Zoe became the 30th Blue Peter presenter when she joined the show in 2004. She was the first female Blue Peter presenter to run the London Marathon.

And she was also the first presenter to pull her own parachute cord while falling 15,000 ft.

Zoe will still be taking part in the Blue Peter 50th celebrations, and is appearing on a Weakest Link Blue Peter special, which will be on TV later this year.
