Pompey win FA Cup

Goal scorer Kanu puts it past the goallie

Portsmouth lifted the FA Cup trophy for the first time since 1939 thanks to a goal from striker Nwankwo Kanu.

Pompey, the only Premier League team left in the contest, took on Cardiff City in an exciting game at Wembley.

The 39th minute goal happened when Cardiff keeper Peter Enckelman pushed John Utaka's cross into the path of Kanu, who nudged it home.

The FA Cup victory is the first for Harry Redknap and he's the first English manager to win since 1995.

Portsmouth have now qualified for the Uefa Cup for the first time.
