Rangers' win keeps SPL hope alive

Nacho Novo of Rangers is congratulated

Rangers are still in with a chance of winning the Scottish Premier League title after beating Dundee United 3-1.

Nacho Novo scored the first two goals at Ibrox, the Gers' home ground, while Jean-Claude Darcheville scored the third in injury-time.

Mark de Vries scored the only goal for the Terrors in the 76th minute of the match.

The win means Rangers have moved to within a point of league leaders Celtic, with a game in hand.

Elsewhere, Motherwell closed in on third place in the SPL by beating Aberdeen 2-1.
