Pesky seagulls cause problems

Seagull

Seagulls are being such a nuisance in the West Midlands of England, that people are taking action against them.

The birds only started going to Hereford 15 years ago, but since then, their numbers have risen massively.

People have been complaining about the birds bothering them when they try to eat outside, and the mess they make.

One of the ways they're tackling the problem is by clearing the seagulls' nests to try and keep their numbers down.

The local council and businesses are working together to tackle the problem of the 1,500 birds.

But experts say it could take a while to judge whether their plans are a success.
