Goal puts Celtic top of the table

Celtic's Georgios Samaras (left) beats Aberdeen's Andrew Considine to score

Celtic's 1-0 win over Aberdeen mean they are at the top of the SPL table for the first time this year.

But it wasn't an easy game at all with Georgios Samaras only getting the goal from a free-kick after 56 minutes.

Celtic hold on to lead Rangers by two points, but they have played three games more.

Elsewhere Inverness had a good afternoon, putting three goals past Kilmarnock from Dougie Imrie, David Lilley and Marius Niculae.

There was a goalless draw at the Falkirk Stadium with a disappointing result for Falkirk and Gretna.

But there were plenty of goals at Tynecastle as Hearts got three to beat St Mirren's two.
