The mum of nine-year-old Shannon Matthews has appeared in court over her daughter's disappearance.
Shannon went missing on 19 February, and was found 24 days later less than a mile from her home in Dewsbury.
Karen Matthews, 32, appeared in court in West Yorkshire because police think she may have known more about where Shannon was than she let on.
She is also charged with child neglect and is being kept in custody until her trial is due to start on 11 November.
The uncle of Shannon's stepfather, Michael Donovan, has already been charged with taking Shannon away.
Two members of Shannon's family, her stepfather's mum - Alice Meehan, 49 - and his sister Amanda Hyett, 25, were arrested on Friday.
Ms Hyett was questioned on suspicion of helping an offender, and Ms Meehan was arrested on suspicion of getting in the way of the inquiry into Shannon's disappearance.
They were both later given bail, which means that the police have allowed them to go home, while further investigations are carried out.
