Tell us your toothy tales

Boy smiling

Smile! Twelve-year-olds in the UK have the best set of gnashers across Europe according to a report.

So does that mean you're all fans of the dentist, floss daily and NEVER get nagged by your mum to brush before bed? Perhaps you've still got your baby teeth?

Or are you afraid of the dentist, have loads of fillings and run a mile at the sight of mouthwash?

Tell us your toothy tales, your dental disasters and your chopper confessions. We're waiting!

Unfortunately this topic is now closed but there are Comments pages on other subjects on the main Chat index.

"I'm the same as Ryan. I hardly ever brush my teeth, so they're pretty yellow. I don't go to the dentist much, but when I do I drink nearly all of his mouthwash! I love the strawberry flavoured one!!"

Justin, 9, Co. Louth, Ireland

"I am scared of the dentist because I am worried that I might have to get a filling!"

Erin, 9, Morayshire, Scotland

"I brush my teeth once a day and sometimes I don't even do them at all, which is BAD!!!! They're quite yellow because I don't always do them. I DO NOT REALLY CARE."

Ryan, 8, West Midlands, England

"My sister was eating cereal and her tooth fell out into the cereal. She took a spoonful of cereal, but thankfully she realised!"

Tatiana, 12, Glasgow, Scotland

"I had train-track braces for about a year and on Christmas Day, just before they came out, I was watching Doctor Who, fresh from the bath! I was kind of chewing the end of a towel and the cotton got stuck within the brace. While pulling it out, it also took out a piece of wire. I had to cut the towel from my mouth!"

Alexandra, 10, Berkshire, England

"It's so unfair. My teeth are quite wonky and I really don't like them, but to have braces I would have to pay 1,300 and that's a lot of money for a bit of metal on your teeth."

Lisa, 12, Colchester, England

"I use mouthwash as well as brushing my teeth. I also brush my teeth before I visit the dentist, and when I am bored!!"

Callum, 12, Liverpool, England

"If anyone says they get braces too early at the age of say 12, they're wrong. I've got braces and I'm only 10.
