Gretna beaten by Aberdeen in SPL

There was more misery for Gretna in the Scottish Premier League as they lost out to Aberdeen 3-0 on Saturday.

Chris Maguire, Lee Miller and Barry Nicholson all scored goals to secure Aberdeen's win against bottom of the league side Gretna.

Elsewhere, Hibernian moved into third place thanks to goals from Filipe Morais and Steven Fletcher, leading them to a 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

Celtic's match against Motherwell was put off because of water on the field.

The game was due to be played at Fir Park, Motherwell's ground.

Celtic, who are currently second place in the SPL league, released a statement saying they were very disappointed it had been postponed.

Hibernian 2-0 Kilmarnock
Inverness CT 0-1 Falkirk
St Mirren 1-1 Hearts

Rangers, which plays Dundee United in the final of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday, is top of the league with 68 points.
