Wales have won the Grand Slam and the Six Nations Championship with a 29 points to 12 win over France at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
Early on France had narrowed Wales' 9-3 lead after Gavin Henson was yellow carded for a high tackle.
But Shane Williams got the crucial score on 60 minutes to become Wales' all-time top try scorer.
Earlier, England beat Ireland to come third, and Scotland lost to Italy but escaped the wooden spoon.
Danny Cipriani helped England to the 33-10 victory by landing all seven of his goal kicks at Twickenham.
Scotland lost to Italy
The result left Ireland in fourth place in their worst championship finish since 1999.
Scotland lost to Italy by 23-20, but the Italians finished bottom of the championship as they needed to win by at least five points to avoid finishing last.
