Film bosses say Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be split into two films, because there's just too much going on to fit it into one.
It's good news for some fans who've been disappointed when scenes from the other books have been left out of movies.
But others think film bosses are just trying to make as much cash as they can, by making people watch two movies.
So we want to know if YOU think it's a good idea to have two films, and why?

"No, because we don't want to have to stop halfway through and then wait almost another year for the next one."
Emm and Sarah, 14 and 10, Leicester, England
"Yes, I think it is a good idea. You cannot take out anything in the Deathly Hallows, all of it is so important. If splitting the film in 2 means you don't miss anything out than that is brilliant. It also means that people who want to play parts in the 7th movie have more time to decide whether they are going to do it. Also it means you don't miss any characters out, so there are more parts available for wannabe actresses or actors."
Caitlin, 11, Cambridge, England
"I think that splitting the film into two parts is a really great idea. I think it should have been done with the Order of the Phoenix also as there was a lot of storylines missing from the film that played crucial parts in the final books. One thing I will say is that I for one will expect at least 4 hours worth of film. lol."
Simon, 11, Sheffield, England
"I am not sure whether it should be split in two but it would be OK if they were 1 or 2 months apart, not together and not ages apart."
Kerrie ,10, Cambridgeshire, England
"I think that it's a good idea but won't Dan, Emma and Rupert be 21 by then? Still, I can't wait!"
Akosua, 11, Bromley, Kent
"It's a good idea and all the people saying no right now would moan if they missed out parts in the film! I think they should just do what they want, it's their film! "
Laura, 12, Wigan, England
"It sounded OK until I heard the time difference between the 2 parts."
Jack, 10, London, England
"Of course it would be a really good idea because when the first part of the film finishes fans will have the other half to look forward to. Besides, at least we get to see NEARLY everything in the last book. With the other books they don't do that."
Tammy, 12, Birmingham, England
"I think that the two parts of the film should be made one after the other and then released one or two months apart. It would save being left in suspense and then forgetting about it in a year."
Nick, 12, Sussex, England
"I've read all the Harry Potter books twice and I think it might help younger watchers, but for me I could watch all seven books in one movie!"
Ezra, 11, Bolton, England
"NO! I absolutely love the Harry Potter films and I am very impatient, I just couldn't wait to see part two!"
Laura, 12, Durham, England
"I think it is an AMAZING idea! I was SO disappointed with the later films as they did miss out a LOT! I was very bitter for a long time after watching the fifth film so hopefully I'll be satisfied with the seventh, but no film can portray the story as well as the books!"
Becky, 14, Liverpool, England
"I think it should be split in two. It's just too much to see in one film at home or at the cinema."
Jamie, 12, Carlisle, England
"I think it is a good idea, but the price for both the films should be lowered so that it would be like watching one film. Then, when it comes out it should be all put together on one DVD."
Adam, 13, Ipswich, England
"I say so. I mean, they cut out the ENTIRE Quidditch World Cup in the 4th movie. It'll cost more money, but I say it will be worth it if it's just like the book!"
Lilli, 10, Cardiff, Wales
"I've been disappointed in the past when some small stories and important scenes have been cut out. If they make it into two films, they can't possibly miss out all the good bits!"
Eve, 13, Peterborough, England
"I've been annoyed by the amount cut out from previous films and I really liked this book. Cutting it into two will be much better. Now we've got three more films to enjoy!"
Dan, 13, Kingston upon Thames, England
"I do think so because its makes us want to see the other part of it and we will be hanging off the edge of our seat in excitement."
Danny, 11, Hertfordshire, England
"If they're going to do it with the last one, why aren't they doing it for the 6th one and why didn't they do it for the 5th one?"
Becky, 10, Tamworth, England
"Whatever is better for the film is what is better for the viewers. I love Harry Potter films and books so I would hate for anything to be deliberately missed out, and so would all the other fans."
Isabelle, 10, Surrey, England
"I think that it would sort of ruin the movie. You could get to a cliff hanger and then suddenly it ends and you have to wait for the next part to come out."
Dylan, 10, Birmingham, England
"I agree to making two parts of the Deathly Hallows because all the other films have missed key points from the books, which makes them harder to understand for people who haven't read them. Since it is the final and most important part, the film needs to do the book justice!"
Alana, 14, Lancashire, England
"I don't mind if the film is in two parts as long as they make the film as mind-blowing as the book. I wonder if they will have different names for both movies!"
Lewis, 13, Paignton, England
"I think it's better because the other films cut LOADS out and you can see more of the book in the film. It's a VERY long book."
Izzy, 11, London, England
"GREAT IDEA! I was disappointed when vital scenes were missing from the film. This way we won't miss anything!"
Elle, 13, Macclesfield, England
"I am a massive Harry Potter fan and I don't think it is a very good idea, because you are left with a cliff hanger at the end of the first half and then have to wait six months to find out what happens. It is quite good that they don't miss out big chunks like they have done in previous films."
Lucy, 12, Aylesbury, England
"I am so glad they split the film in two. The last films weren't so good because they left out key moments."
Rishi, 13, Dyfed, Wales
"I think it is a bad idea. It would be horrible to have to wait another year to see the next part. Why can't they just have one very long film with an interval in the middle?"
Mark, 9, London, England
"I think they should make it into two parts because in previous movies they've left out some very good parts!"
William, 13, Colchester, England
"No, I think that the final Harry Potter film should be all in one part. Even if it lasted 40 hours I would still watch it. I LOVE HARRY POTTER."
Catherine, 11, County Antrim, Northern Ireland
"I think it is good and bad that it is being split. It is good because it will take longer for Harry Potter to be a thing of the past. It's bad because we will have to wait longer for the final instalment. I am curious to know what they will name the two films."
Fergus, 11, London, England
"I don't think it's a very good idea to do this as it's pretty obvious that the production company are doing this for double the money. People could easily forget the first part of the movie!"
Lucy, 13, London, England
"I think it should be in two parts because I love watching Harry Potter and I will have extra time watching Harry Potter."
Thomas, 8, Wrexham, England
"I don't think the 7th Harry Potter movie should be split in two because it means making more money for the company."
Gemma, 9, Hampshire, England
"No I think that you should not watch HALF of the movie and then as it gets to the good bit it says: TO BE CONTINUED. Then you will have to wait another one maybe TWO years for the other half and by then you will have maybe forgotten! It is just plain stupid!"
Freya, 11, Maidstone, England
"I think it is quite a good idea if they are going to put most of the book in, but they shouldn't leave such a gap between the two parts. I wish they had done it with the other films, especially the Order of the Phoenix as they missed loads of stuff out of that one."
Heather, 11, Durham, England
"I like that they're trying to keep all of the book in, but I think it would be better in one film."
Grace, 13, Nottingham, England
"I think it's a bad idea because if you go to the cinema you'll have to go twice which will cost more."
Tom, 10, Salisbury, England
"It's just a way to make more money! The people going would know the story anyway from reading the book so why not just remove parts of the story like they have with the other films?"
Daniel, 14
"I think it's stupid that it is in two parts. I am a Harry Potter fan, but it is just annoying."
Michael, 10, Burnley, England
"If it's the only way they feel they can do the book justice, then of course. I'd rather see two good films than one rushed one."
Suze, 15, York, England
"It's a brilliant idea as it means they won't cut too much out from the books."
Tristan and Ajay, 10 and 6, Haverhill, Suffolk
"I think it's a good idea because then you'll have the main parts, but the really good bits will be last, then you'll be wanting to see the end more than ever!"
Bethany, 12
"I don't think is a good idea.. they are planning to put the first half out in cinemas in 2010 but the second half not until summer 2011! That is far too much a gap. I would think it was an OK idea if the 2nd part came out like a month later or so, but a whole year? No way!"
Shannon, 13, Fife, Scotland
"I think that it should because in most of the other films important bits have been left out like the Death Day Party in the Chamber of Secrets!"
Lauren, 10,Cardiff, England
"I think it should be in two parts, because if it takes three hours people won't want to be sitting around the TV for a long time."
Will, 9, Amersham, England
"I think it's good because they won't have to fit it all into two hours. But it could be a bad thing because by the time you see the second part you might have forgotten the first part."
Ella, 12, Ipswich, England
"I think this is very disappointing, as fans will have to wait months to find out what actually happens in the ends. Lots of people watch the films, but don't read the books, so this will be stupid-some people might not even go to see the films!"
Emma Louise, 13, Armagh, Northern Ireland
"I think it's kind of weird that it'll be in two parts, even though I am a huge fan of Harry Potter."
Farahnaz, 13, Manchester, England
"No. Just make a larger Harry Potter film."
Evan, 9, Maidstone, England
"I think it is a good idea for the last film to be split into two parts. I think this because there is too much essential aspects to fit into one film. Also, it means that when the 8th film does come out, we will most likely feel that we have waited long enough and that we can therefore enjoy it more."
Patrick, 13, Waalre, Netherlands
"I thinks it is a great idea and it will make the producers more money."
Sophie, 11, Donaghadee, Northern Ireland
"I think that it's quite a good idea, since now everything can be included, but it just won't seem right to me. For anyone who has read the books they will know that there is seven books (one for each year) and a major bit of 'Half Blood Prince' is something to do with number seven. It wouldn't quite work like the books did."
Eve, 12, Stroud, England
"I think it's good that they're splitting the film in half! It annoys me when important stuff is missed out the films and this way I wont have to worry about that!"
Aimee, 13, Derby, England
"It's a good idea I think. If it's split in two we will be able to have all the action of the brilliant book. And we don't have to wait too long until it comes out. Six months is nowhere near how long you normally wait."
Ethan, 12, Wilmslow, England
"I think it's a good idea to split the film into two, as important storylines won't be cut out. And even though I've read the book, it'll still be good to have a cliff-hanger at the end of Part 1!"
Scarlet, 13, Middlesbrough
"I think it's a great idea because then they won't cut so much out of the film. The only problem is we will have to wait another year for it to come out which disappoints me."
Rebecca, 10, Sunderland, England
"I think that it is a brilliant idea as it means that the whole of the book, all of which I think is very significant, will be included in the film. Although I think it's bad that they will charge us to see two films in the cinema."
Mia, 13, London, England
"I think it's great idea - it means that the whole plot won't be squashed into one film."
Rebecca, 11, Birmingham, England
"I don't think they should split it in 2 because just when it is getting interesting in the film, it will end."
Katie, 12, Bradford, England
"YAY!!!!! This is brill!!!!!"
Chloe, 12, Cumbria, England
"I think that it is a good idea but they do it to make more money."
Sam, 13, Bristol, England
"If it means that we can see as much of the book as possible, then it's a great idea."
Gwennie, 12, Kent, England
"I think it's a rubbish idea. When I first read the book, I was a bit disappointed. But why couldn't they make one film and make it as long as the extended Lord of the Rings? That makes much more sense!"
Esther, 13, London, England
"At least we'll be able 2 see what we read!!! They always cut thing that most fans want 2 see!! It's a good idea!!"
Alicia, 11, Evesham, England
"Finally, we will be able to see all that we read in the books, it's a great idea."
Jake, 11, Knaresborough, England
"I think it's a fantastic idea. It means little of the plot will be left out and also it means we get two more films instead of one. I don't want them to have two names though. That would be going too far."
Harriet, 13, Ryde, England
"I am a HUGE fan of Potter and I do think it is a good idea. This, in my view, is the best book and if it was just one film they would have to cut out a lot. So yes, they should split them in two!"
Hannah, 13, England
"I think this is quite annoying as it's a bit strange and bad as you have to wait longer to see the last bit."
Anna, 11, Chelmsford, England
"I am so pleased - it's the best solution there is and it will do justice to the book."
Ruba, 13, London, England
"As long as they don't leave the first part on a cliff-hanger I think it is a really good idea. Cliff-hangers are SO ANNOYING!!!!"
Katy, 12, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland
"It must not be like that. Kids might not be able to afford them both, so they will miss the last one."
Joseph, 12, Wolverhampton, England
"DEFINITELY! This means that most things will be kept in and we've now got three films to look forward to! =D"
Faye, 12, Liverpool, England
"I think it's a good idea because it would give the last film more tension. I hate it when my favourite scenes are cut out of books! If the film is split into two, there won't be as many scenes left out."
Rachel, 11, Sussex, England
"To be honest when I first read this I was disappointed. The production company probably just want to get twice as much money. It's going to be odd as it's an on-going story. I wonder what they're going to call it - Part A and Part B?"
Sarah, 14, Bristol, England
"What a brilliant idea! Like they said, there is just way too much going on to cut any of it out. I'm so pleased."
Mohsin, 12, Bradford, England
