Top athlete Paula Radcliffe won't be running in this year's London Marathon because she's got a toe injury.

The 34-year-old, who is the women's marathon record-holder, has won the big race three times.

But she picked up an injury to her right foot when she was at a training session in New Mexico.

Radcliffe says she's "desperately disappointed" that she won't be taking part in the race on 13 April, which is one of the biggest in the world.

"I love running in London and this race would have been the perfect test for me before the Olympic Games," she said.

Radcliffe won the event in 2002, 2003 and 2005.

She says the injury isn't too bad, but she will now be focussing on being fit for this year's Olympics in China.
