The pressure on Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has eased off after his team scored a 2-0 Champions League victory over Italian giants Inter Milan.
Benitez had to bounce back from the Reds' 2-1 defeat by Championship side Barnsley in the FA Cup.
He did that thanks to late goals from Dirk Kuyt and Steven Gerrard. It was Inter's first defeat for FIVE months.
After 30 minutes, the Italian side went down to 10 men, with Marco Materazzi sent off for a second booking.
There are 16 teams left in the competition, and this was the first of a two-leg tie.
Benitez said: "I had confidence in the team as they played with a lot of passion and were very positive.
Chelsea
"It is a great win but we have another match to go."
Elsewhere in the competition, Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Olympiakos in their first leg match in Greece.
