The last-ever episode of Grange Hill has gone out on TV. This pic shows the first-ever cast of the show, all the way back in 1978. Check out those socks! And that hair!
Grange Hill quickly became known for tackling strong issues which other kids' programmes didn't. In 1986, the main character Zammo (right) got addicted to dangerous drugs
In another shocking storyline, a main character called Danny Kendall died of a brain condition. He was a rebellious character who just walked out of lessons that he didn't like!
One of the series' most popular head teachers in the early days was Mrs McClusky (left). Here she is telling off cheeky pupil Pogo Patterson (right) in 1981
Years later, another popular character called Kevin Jenkins (right) also took drugs and nearly died
Character Judi Jeffreys had a hard time at Grange Hill. Sean Pearce accidentally cut her face with a knife, and two series' later, she died in a fire at the school.
Almost all kids at Grange Hill loved head teacher Mr Robson, who was one of the longest-running teachers at Grange Hill. He left in series 27.
The show tackled racism too that year after a feud started between Taylor (pictured) and Nick
Troublemaker Togger Johnson joined in series 28. His character was important because he was the nephew of Grange Hill's very first star, Tucker (pictured)!
Togger and his mates were always up to something. Their adventures included finding loads of caged animals, even a tiger!, near the school.
And in the final episode EVER Tucker returns to give the pupils advice when an unexploded bomb is found underneath the school, just before the end of term prom...
