"I don't really like Grange Hill. The theme tune got on my nerves, however it was ok to watch when there was nothing on."

Halley, 12, Hertfordshire, England

"I like Grange Hill but I think it was time to end it. I think my mum is more upset than me because she says 'it's taking away old memories'."

Amy, 12, Suffolk, England

"Great! I never liked it!"

Katherine, 10, Brussels, Belgium

"I don't think Grange Hill should end because it's really good and also it's been out for ages."

Poppy, 10, York, England

"I love Grange Hill and I am so, so sad. Bye."

Jacqueline, 9, Edinburgh, Scotland

"I think it is not good. I love watching it so if you stop putting it on then I will have nothing to watch on Monday night!"

Humera, 11, Blackburn, England

"Aww, I really like it, especially Tanya and Togger. The storylines are more mature than the other CBBC shows that I've grown out of."

Jill, 13, East Kilbride, Scotland

"It was even more boring than school! Now they can put some good shows on."

Heather, 12, Dumfries, Scotland

"I think it is a bad idea! People liked it in 1978 and it's fun to watch now, even if it is old!"

Johanna, 13, Leeds, England

"My parents watched Grange Hill and said it was the best show. My sister and I love the show and will be sorry to see it go!"

Amy, 11, Worcestershire, England

"It should go. It is a well boring programme and not very good. I think it should go to make way for a new programme."

Taylor, 11, Bolton, England

"I don't really mind. I watched it once and never watched it again."

Maddy, 12, East Sussex, England

"Finally! It's a really bad show. It sets bad examples to kids and my mum was shocked at the bullying and drug scenes."

James, 13, Staffordshire, England

"I think it's rubbish that they're stopping it."

Josh, 11, Wishaw, Scotland

"I don't want Grange Hill to be ending cos I think it's good to watch when I come home from school."

Katie, 8, County Wicklow, Ireland

"YES! Finally it is ending so they can put something good on."

Alison, 12, Edinburgh, Scotland

"It is the worst news since brussel sprouts and I really wanted to star in it some day. When I heard the news I nearly cried."

Dáire, 10, Dublin, Ireland

"I love Grange Hill. Why?!"

Emma, 9, Cornwall, England

"I think it should still be on because all the other programmes are rubbish! Except Tracy Beaker."

Lisa, 11, Liverpool, England

"I can't believe it's stopping. It's so unfair. It's a great show and I love it and I watch it every year. Don't let it stop."

Sophie, 10, Hertfordshire, England

"I think it's sad that Grange Hill is ending - I love it. My mum and dad watched it when they were young and said it was the best."

Cheryl, 9, Birmingham, England

"Grange Hill can't be axed. It is a show that children can relate to if they have similar problems. Grange Hill gets the message across in a manner that children will understand."

Gavin, 12/13, Motherwell, Scotland

"I never sew the show but I say NOOOOO. I know what it feels like to have your fave show turned off. Sorry to all Grange Hill fans."

Joanna, 10, Hillsbrough, Northern Ireland

"I can't believe it's finishing! I started watching it in 2005 and have loved it ever since. The BBC are getting rid of all the great shows. At least there are going to be new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures and M.I.High."

Gareth, 12, Cardiff, Wales

"I have watched the really old episodes of Grange Hill and they deal with some really serious problems, but it's got more cheesy as time's gone on."

Eve, 12, Leeds, England

"I don't really care, as I watch Waterloo Road, which is better."

Mikey, 11, Hove, England

"Yeah I quite liked it actually. I thought it was great, as it tackled really sensitive issues and paved the way for many youngsters."

"I'm gutted it's ending. I hope the programme that's replacing it is as good as Grange Hill."

Bronwen, 13, Clwyd, Wales

"30 years is a bit too long and you can run out of ideas. I think it's the end of an era, but it was never too good. It was just cheesy when you think about it. Sorry to all despondent fans! :)"

Francesca, 11, Dudley, England

"I never watched it, but I wish I had now! It sounds really good! It's a really good idea to have a CBBC programme that shows us something important in a fun way. Don't know why it's ending."

"I agree with the Scottish gals! It was becoming 'old news'."
