Who is better at sport - girls or boys?
Well, Sportsround has a new challenge for some of the sportiest kids in the country.
Each week, one boy and one girl will be challenged to try out a new sport that they've never tried before. Whoever wins will get a point for their side.
So who will triumph this week? Girls or boys?
THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGERS: THE BOY
Fraser
|
NAME: Fraser
AGE: 12
USUAL SPORT: Mini moto
FRASER SAYS: "I think I'm going to win as I've got a lot of strength in my legs"
THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGERS: THE GIRL
Danielle
|
NAME: Danielle
AGE 12
USUAL SPORT: Speed skating
DANIELLE SAYS:"Fraser's really confident but I'm going to do my best. I really, really want to beat him!"
THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE SPORT: TRACK CYCLING
Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport. It usually takes place on specially-built tracks or velodromes, most often built out of wooden strips.
The track is normally very steep at each end, and is mostly a one-lap track of 250 metres. So it's very exciting to watch!
The bikes have no brakes or gears, so it's pretty hard trying to slow down or stop.
It's fair to say you need really strong legs to be good at this sport!
WHO WON?
Danielle triumphed this week after a nail-biting race! So the score is now Boys 0, Girls 1
