Shock exit for number one Federer

Defeated: Roger Federer

There's been a BIG shock in the tennis world after world number one Roger Federer got knocked out of the Australian Open by Novak Djokovic.

The last time Swiss player Federer, 26, failed to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament was in May 2005, so it's a big deal for tennis fans.

He failed to take one set from Djokovic, who won 7-5 6-3 7-6 (7-5) in their semi-final match.

Twenty-year-old Djokovic is now gearing up for his first ever Grand Slam final.

He's seeded third in the competition, which means he's thought to be the third-best player, and faces an interesting opponent in Sunday's final.

He is 22-year-old Jo-Wilfried Tsonga from France, who wasn't even seeded in the contest, and started his games ranked 38 in the world.
