"I am part of a cheerleading group in England.
What I don't understand is that cheerleading is really popular in America, but it's got just a fraction of that popularity here.
What many people don't know is that cheerleading is a great way of getting exercise!
Cheerleading isn't all fun and games - a lot of hard work goes into routines.
Stunts are included in most cheerleading routines and there is normally four or five people involved in one stunt.
Competitions
Cheerleaders are involved in competitions - this usually means it's costume time as you may be seen on TV.
Cheerleaders often have short skirts with shorts underneath and a top with their team name on it - usually in their team colours.
A good thing about cheerleading is you will make new friends, get fitter and have fun!"
