Scotland could land new manager

Alex McLeish

The Scottish football team, who've been without a manager since Alex McLeish left in November, could be about to get a new one.

Officials at the Scottish Football Association (SFA), who are the people responsible for picking McLeish's replacement, have approached three men. They are Tommy Burns, who is a coach at Celtic, and Mark McGhee, who is the manager at Motherwell.

The third is George Burley, who is in charge at Southampton.

Meanwhile, Fabio Capello's first competitive match as England manager will be away to Andorra in September.

The match will be the first in the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.
