Sam Allardyce has left his job as the manager of Newcastle United. So Newsround went to the city to ask kids what they thought about the news - and who should replace him...

"It's good news that the manager's gone. He hasn't won that many matches with Newcastle," said Edwin, 11.

Matthew, 10, said: "Harry Redknapp would be good as a new manager. Alan Shearer would give the players a lift, but he's got no experience."

Alexander, 10, said: "Sam Allardyce was quite good, even though he lost a few matches. He brought some signings in, but they weren't playing that well."
