Sam Allardyce is no longer the manager of Newcastle United.
The 53-year-old, who had been in charge for less than eight months, parted company with the club on Wednesday.
Club officials made a statement confirming the news and thanking Allardyce for his efforts and wishing him well for the future.
A new manager for the Premier League side has not yet been appointed. Club officials said they would make this announcement "when appropriate".
Allardyce said: "I am disappointed to be leaving Newcastle United, but I wish the club all the best for the remainder of the season and for the future."
