In pictures: Strictly Come Dancing final

It was the grand final of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday. Celebs Alesha Dixon and Matt Di Angelo were up against each other and had to perform five dances.

Millions tuned in for the live show. Matt and partner Flavia Cacace are smiling here, but it must have been very nerve-wracking for them knowing so many people were watching!

Here's Alesha at the start of her showdance. Each couple had to prepare a freestyle routine to finish the competition, full of lots of fancy and dangerous moves.

Although Alesha was the favourite to win, Matt and his partner Flavia put on a great show!! The judges were full of praise for Matt's performances.

In the end, Alesha and Matthew Cutler scooped the prize.This is the moment they found out that the public had voted them the champions of the fifth series.

There's plenty to celebrate! Alesha has become the very first female celebrity to win the competition in three years. The last two winners of the show were men.

Alesha's family were there to cheer her on! They must be so porud of her! Well done Alesha!
