What are your purr-fect pet names?

Naming your pet after a celebrity is all the rage in the UK, according to the animal charity PDSA.

Traditional pet names like Rover, Sooty or Lucky are being ditched in favour of Britney, Ozzy, Rooney and even Beckham!

So we want to know what your pets are called... Have they got funny names and what made you pick them?

Would you like a poodle called Paris, a rat named Rooney or even a horse called Harry?

Unfortunately this topic is now closed but there are Comments pages on other subjects on the main Chat index.

Chloe, 10, Stockport, England

"My cat is called Fluffy and it suits him perfectly because he is very fluffy."

Nicole, 11, Malaga, Spain

"My dog is called Jess. We called her that because it's short and it's easier for her to understand. Also she is very cute and cuddly - Jess sounds cute!"

Kate, 12, Isle Of Wight, England

"My cat is called Trixie and it suits her sooo well! She is always up to mischief and she is actually quite unfriendly!"

Oliva, 11, Portugal

"I have a Siamese cat called Setanta and a dog called Fergus. We chose them because they are Irish names."

Caitilin, 12, Belfast, Ireland

"My cats are called Kitty (she's stripy and grey, with beautiful green eyes), Fudge (Siamese cat, brown with only a bit of cream colour and blue eyes), Ginger (you got it! ginger coloured and green eyes), Lola (white, blue eyes, light brown ears and stripy brown tail). I also have three kittens but I don't know what to name them yet..."

Sofia, 12, Algorta Spain

"I have a rabbit called Fizz but it's not after the Tweenies! I also have a fish called Bob Junior."

Abigail, 9 Porthcawl, Wales

Sinead, 8, Romford, England

"I called my dog Struan as my friend is called Struan and loves cheese yet so does my dog!"

Lisa, 10, Haslemere, England

"My dog is called Deefer because it's D-for-dog, aka Deefer Dog when you say it all together. My hamster is called Teddy (we named him after Teddy from Harry Potter), and we used to have fish called Cleo and Figaro from Pinocchio. Then we had Ginny and Tonks from Harry Potter, Sportacus from LazyTown and now our fish doesn't seem to have a name!"

Madi, 13, Dyffryn Ardudwy, Wales

"I name my pets after their personalities or colours. For example, if I had a white cat, I would call it Snowball. I do have two fish called Chocolate and Herby. The first one is called Chocolate because he is the colour of chocolate, but Herby is not called Herby for a reason; my grandparents named him. I also used to have another fish who died recently. He was called Leopard, because he had black spots on him. Weird!"

Eliza, 9, London, England

"I think Crookshanks is the best name for a cat, but you should name pets on what they are like. I have a white cat with a few black splodges called Lucy. Lucy means light and she is a light colour. I also have a Russian blue called Jerry. When we got him we immediately started calling him Jerry. It just suits him."

Becky, 12, London, England

"If say, your pet was really tidy and hardly ever got messy and you named it something like Scruffy then that would not suit them at all! My fishes are called Shaggy and Scooby!"

Isabelle, 10, New Malden, England

"I have a fish called Bubblegum because he has big eyes."

Lucy, 12, Slough, England

"I have a gorgeous doggy called Maisie. I think it's stupid naming dogs after celebs, it shows a lack of imagination!!!"

Chloe, 12, Hertfordshire, England

"I think they should have a name like their looks or their personality."

Alexandra, 9, Sandhurst, England

"I love the names Roman and Ned- my dogs names! I think naming a pet after a celeb is quite rubbish."

Megan, 10, Cambridgeshire, England

"I have three cats - Bobby, Bramble and Doissy, and two hamsters Chippy and Tulip! Bobby was named when we got him, I called Bramble, Bramble, because she was a stray kitten that I found in a bramble bush. Doissy is named Doissy because she was abandoned with her mother in a town called "Doissa". Chippy is Chippy because she is small and fat, like a chocolate chip cookie, and Tulip is a very delicate hamster, like a flower!"

Amy, 12, Bouillac, France

"I have two cats. The girl is called Drama and the boy is called Rooney. Then I also have a dog called Kaiser who I named after the Kaiser chiefs."
