It's Newsround's 35th birthday so we thought we'd find out exactly what kids think about life in 2007.
In our survey - called All About You - kids said just over half of the conversations they have with their family at home were about school.
And three out of ten said doing well at school was more important than getting on with their family.
How about YOU?
Is school important to you? If yes, WHY is it important?
Maybe there are more important things in your life? What are they?

"Family is more important to me than school because school will give you good marks and a job, but your family will always be there for you and help you through life. When you are old and sick school won't look after you, it will probably be your daughter or son."
Kirsten, 11, Calderdale, England

"I think that education is important for me and children everywhere because if you have no education you can't get a job or a house, but I have to say school is very boring. The way the teachers teach, it feels like you want to go to sleep and that's why I think most children don't like school. But I know it is important for my future."
Lydia, 10, Ilford, England
