School is THE big issue, say kids

School kids having fun

School is THE big issue in many of your lives, according to a survey NR carried out to mark our 35th birthday.

In the survey - called All About You - kids said just over half of the conversations they have with their family at home were about school.

And three out of 10 of you think doing well at school is more important than getting on with your family.

NR's survey of 1,000 kids looked at many parts of your lives. We're telling you the results in special reports.

It seems from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed, school is very important to you.

We filmed some kids talking about what they thought about school.

Martin, 10, said: "I really want to get a good education, good SATs results and good GCSEs. I would like to go to university."

Regan, 11, said: "It's boring doing school five days a week - I wish it was one!"

Lewis, 11, said he was looking forward to going to high school, adding: "I want to get a good job."
