Dads do badly in Newsround survey

All About You graphics

You look up to footballers more than your dads, according to a survey of 1,000 kids carried out by Newsround.

One in four of you said you admired footballers, while only 14 per cent of you said you look up to your dads.

And it seems dads aren't your first option when there is a problem either, as more than three quarters of you go to mum to sort things out.

One of the main reasons that dads didn't do so well in the survey is because they were too busy working.

More than half of you wanted to spend more time with your parents.

In some homes you don't even consider your dad to be part of your immediate family - which means the people you are directly related to.

That's your parents and your brothers and sisters.
