The red carpet was out for top stars who turned out for the world premiere of new fantasy film The Golden Compass.
The big screen version of Philip Pullman's best-selling book Northern Lights looks to be one of the biggest films in 2007.
Stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig were at the glitzy event, along with Dakota Blue Richards.
She's the girl who was chosen from an open audition of 10,000 girls to play heroine Lyra Belacqua.
The Golden Compass sees Lyra travel through a spectacular universe as she tries to rescue her kidnapped friend and fight the sinister Magisterium.
It is released in the UK on 7 December.
Dakota said her co-stars had helped her with her acting.
But she added: "I love acting but I never thought I could become an actress and I would still like to be a part-time supply teacher as well as an actress when I grow older for the flexibility."
Nicole Kidman plays villain Mrs Coulter, while Daniel Craig is the adventurer Lord Asriel in the film, made by the studio behind the Lord of the Rings.
The book and film features characters with talking daemons - animal spirits that stay with people throughout their lives, reflecting their souls.
Nicole said: "I think mine would be a kitten because they're always purring."
Bond star Daniel said he was a big Pullman fan: "He is one of the best writers in this part of the century and most of the last."
